1 Actor1: (asleep on back, wakes and opens eyes, blinking away grogginess and wincing a little in pain)
2 Actor1 is on a riverside in the dense jungle, wet and filthy. Actor1 glances up, seeing the moon through the leaves above. Actor1 closes her eyes and heaves a sigh. Actor1 sits up painfully and opens their eyes again for a better look around, only to find themselves literally face to face with Actor2.
3 Actor2: (stares very intently at Actor1)
4 Actor1: (startled) Gah! (scurries backward, putting some distance between the two) Who- what the-?
5 Actor2: (raises eyebrow and smirks) Oh good. I was wondering when you were going to wake up.
6 Actor1 watches Actor2 with a look on confusion on their face, their expression lighting up as they reach an epiphany.
7 Actor1: Wait..... I- I know you! (flashback, remembers Actor2) We..... we were in the same squadron. (remembers sketchy scenes of combat) We never really talked until… (a sharp head pain cuts through the memory, holds head with both hands and grimaces)
8 Actor2: (places a hand on Actor1’s shoulder) Just take it easy. How much do you remember?
9 Actor1: I remember us going into combat… Someone was in trouble. I know that. The enemy had them backed off the edge of a cliff. I ran to help and… (shakes head in an attempt to clear the fogginess from memories) Nothing. And then this.
10 Actor2: I see…
11 The silence that falls between them is broken by a thunderous roar. A giant, ghastly, Jungle Monster can be seen from between the brush, charging towards them. Actor2 quickly jumps up and starts running, only stopping when they realize Actor1 isn’t right behind them. Actor1 is having trouble with anything faster than a walk with their injured leg.
12 Actor2: Hurry up, it’s gaining on you!
13 Actor1: (hassled and irritated) I know, I know! I just can’t go any faster! I'm trying! (looks back and yelps) Help!
14 Sensing that they will never be able to outrun this thing, Actor1 turns to face it. They choose to fight.
15 Actor1: (grits teeth) Come at me, you big ugly creep… (Raises voice) Come and get me! Yeah! You heard me! (Actor2 blinks)
16 Jungle Monster: (wastes no time and lashes out with a clawed hand, using Assurance)
17 Actor1: (Uses Protect to guard herself from the blow) That all you got, big guy?
18 Actor2 dances around the sidelines, not content with merely watching Actor1 take on Jungle Monster alone.
19 Actor2: Take this! [use a status move (such as Stun Spore) or a supportive move (such as Helping Hand) to help Actor1]
20 Actor1: (Bunches up her muscles and leaps up with her good leg, using Take Down)
21 Jungle Monster, weaker than its large size suggested, dropped into a dead faint soon after the attack. Actor1 tiredly made their way over to Actor2, looking triumphant.
22 Actor1: Thanks for the assist back there. I really owe you one.
23 Actor2: It was nothing. Let’s just get you back to camp before something worse shows up. Let's go.
I had originally made an audition in paragraph form that I was going to fill out, but then I saw all the scripted ones and thought otherwise. I may put it up later for Poke or something. Maybe.
