[[Ahhh, I was bored. I felt like writing. Whatever. xD]]

The loud crashing coming from the waves below filled the air with sound. Melody kept her ears flat against her head as the cool evening breeze rushed through her fur, blowing back her jacket and skirt. She grasped for the zipper of the denim jacket and yanked the zipper up to her throat, hiding her red shirt from view. Warmth radiated into her, cancelling out the chilly breeze. She crouched down and rested her knees on the cool grass, resting her hooves on her lap.
She shut her eyes and took a deep breath, inhaling the salty air. As she opened her eyes again, she scooted a few feet forwards and stared down at the water, dappled with rocks at the bottom of the bluff. She ached with longing as she wished she could just jump down and stay in the water all night. She sighed and stood up again. Getting to the beach is as close as I can get.... she thought to herself. She took one last glance down from the top of the bluff, then darted back down, trying to catch sight of the pale sand lining the beach.
As she approached the beach, she spotted a wooden, whitewashed dock and a small boat off in the distance. Her eyes flickered with curiosity, and she picked up her pace to a run as she came closer. When she finally reached the dock, she scurried on and studied the boat. There was a sign on the side of it- 'Do not drive without owner's permission,' Melody frowned. She rested a hoof on the side of the boat, then walked over to the edge of the dock and sat down.
She pulled up her skirt to her shins and dipped her hind hooves into the water. A shiver ran up her spine as the skin of her ankles came in contact with the icy water. She pulled her jacket closer to her skin and shut her eyes. She slightly quivered as the cold sank into her skin. As she cold ebbed away, she opened her eyes again and drank in her surroundings, one by one.
Far off to her sides were wide, rolling fields that surrounded the Fable's grounds. Off to her right were the peaks of Brazen Bluff. Stretching far out before her were the choppy, azure waters of Brazen Bay. Her eyelids fluttered as she stared out over the water. The sun was dipping low over the horizon, painting the sky pink, orange, and navy blue. She was pretty tired out, and she knew that she should be getting back soon. She slowly stood up, and with a sad sigh, began the trek back to the Studio.
